The BOB & TOM Show App revisa

Ever since the latest update, the app frequently shuts down. It stops playing and/or the app actually closes. Adding that to the fact there are way too many commercials even when you pay for a VIP membership, not sure it’s worth it anymore.

You recently removed the ability to choose your local station. Please bring it back so I can listen in my own time zone. Listening to the feed on the app means I miss half the show.

What happened to the station finder? Been listening to the show for almost 20 years. Now I can’t stream it for my time zone anymore.

If you LOVE never ending ads, you’ll love this app.

Just tried to use it and got 4 ads in a row before shutting it down in frustration.

This used to be for listening to the actual B&T show. Now it’s mostly for ad delivery. Very disappointing. Cannot recommend.

Unfortunately the quality of this APP has forced me to find a different morning show. It constantly crashes and most the time won’t even start to play or stream a radio station.

Love listening to Bob and Tom, but listening to the commercials is ridiculous on this app. I get that this is how they make their money; however, there is no excuse for the repetitive ads during a single commercial break. For example, in one commercial break I heard the ad to listen to the bands Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire not once, twice,…but six times. It broke me so now I turn the volume off during the breaks. In the old app, they used to play old Bob and Tom clips, which was much more entertaining. Sprinkle in some old clips into your commercial breaks or be muted

Keep the free but start offering a little payback for those who pack for the coffee- ya know, you’re VIP’s? Love the show, keep improving- bring back some smart guests- Pat’s a good one but, remember Mark Patrick, etc? I’m sure you’ve got folks willing to grow in the trade and add some nice, new and unexpected meat to our morning cereal. Willie G is a great example. VIP only, “jump” contests (I.e. who can finish this oldie joke from ‘88?,etc.) Lastly, Comedy I think can always be well matched with the world of strange but true. Just consider “filling out” the beast again and see what happens but please, target your VIP’s, create a “College of Bob + Tom”- start with easy “grades” and have free listeners reflect and remember on the show. Or, how about one for tomorrows listeners- have the pre-7 year olds tell a joke of the day to try to break the “panelists” into a LOL- not faked. Can be done anytime through the show till one little miracle of nature wins the prize? You’ve got a LOT OF young PARENTS listening- this would help draw them in…… maybe? It works about it 30% of the time when you are on a Wi-Fi net work. I’ve written to them and explained I’ve tried it on three different devices, and two different networks, and it’s the same thing. They don’t care nobody does anything to fix it, much less even acknowledge that they received my information. You also have to uninstall and reinstall it every so often even for it to work on the cellular net work. Very much second rate.

A long time listener that has grown increasingly frustrated. Fix the app. I understand the wanting of the ads ( for the revenue) but they cause the app to stop playing. I can and will listen to something else if it’s not fixed because I am tired of stopping what I am doing to hit play again.

The app doesn’t work most of the time. The customer service does not respond.

This app is SO frustrating. I love the B&T show and was happy when I found out I could get it 24/7. But this app is terrible! It cuts out constantly and I am always restarting it. The ads cut in all the time - right in the middle of them doing a bit or just talking and then when it comes back you missed what was going on during the ad. This was bad when I first downloaded it a few years ago but in the past few months it has gotten so much worse. I wish they would do whatever they need to do to improve the quality. It is so disappointing.

When I open the app and try to listen, the play button will not play any audio. I have to hit play multiple times to get it to go. I’ve updated my phone, I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled, same thing. And when I do get it to play, I loose audio when they go to commercials. Very frustrating. Please fix.

Long-time B&T app listener. App refuses to play at all on my iPhone 8 for the past few days. I’m a podcast junkie, all my other streaming apps are working same as usual. I tried deleting the app and downloading it again, no improvement.

Love the show and being able to listen to it through the app since no local radio stations carry it, but the app needs work. I’ve had to delete the app numerous times and download it again because it freezes up and I can’t get it to play. Also, if I happen to be playing a game on my phone at the same time and an ad comes on that you have to watch to get a bonus, the B&T app automatically goes to an ad or two of its own that you can’t get out of.

Like show hate app. Will crash A LOT and then just play advertising. They will never fix it

I started listening to Bob and Tom since they started their move to Indianapolis. I was so excited to get the app, but it’s never worked right. Continuously crashes or reverts to advertising. I deleted it and reinstalled it to no avail. I even purchased the VIP membership. I have a iPhone 13 pro. I have TMobile for a carrier. Nothing I have tried has worked. I have no trouble with any music apps. It crashes on cellular or Wi-Fi If their was another app I would get it in a second

I used to use the app to listen to random old replays and best ofs on the weekends but the App only works maybe 50% of the time. 1 star rating is generous.

Used the app for years without issue. Now the ads are repeating and showing to overtop off the show constantly. It’s unlistenable. I deleted and re-downloaded the app. Still bad.

If you hit play, it only briefly shows that the app is playing before disconnecting. Rebooting my phone doesn’t help, either.

If you love listening to advertisements, this app is for you. Not only do you get to hear their standard 6 minute ads every 15 minutes, this app actually adds random advertisements randomly. So if you’re hearing something you like, don’t worry, this add will interrupt it at the most inconvenient time. What a joke this show has become. If I could give it negative stars I would. Love BTshow, but this app ruined it for me.

The app is great as I work evenings/nights so I can’t listen live. But it constantly crashes and every time it restarts I have to wait through an advertisement. After reading other reviews and seeing this has been going on for a couple years it’s rather disappointing to see it won’t probably get fixed.

I don’t know what kind of update you just did but the app does not work at all.

Since my local channel took it off it’s station in 2017 this app is my only choice. My drive to work doesn’t have the best cell service. But…. The app doesn’t play unless you’re in LTE or higher except ads (shows sponsors). Every morning I have to start it twice because ya start it once it plays it’s ad (shows sponsor) then pauses after. Unless you hit play again it will not start playing the show. When you do have LTE or even WiFi it plays 3/4 of the time. I mean the show itself has gone down hill since Bob left but drastically fallen on its face since Covid. With that all said it’s still a good show though. I love listening to it. Just wish I didn’t have to use this crappy app in order to do that. Also. You can’t blame the lower cell service cause the ESPN app plays my whole time this app won’t.

It blows my mind that it’s every bit as bad now as when I downloaded it a couple of years ago. There are probably worse apps, but I have yet to find one.

I know it’s free, and I appreciate that idea, however it never has worked well.

Losing Bob was hard, happy Josh is a great addition. However, please remove Willy from the show, he has yet to say anything funny, I cringe when he speaks. He thinks he can insult Tom and he’ll fit in. The show is difficult to listen to with Willy on it, he certainly isn’t helping his stand up career by bombing on the show.

I got the app to list live on my phone at work. When I try and stream it live I usually get some classic rock song. Stop the stream and start it again and the same song starts over. They say Bob and Tom 24/7 is live during show time, but it’s not. The Bob and Tom show says it’s iheartradio and iheartradio won’t answer my help emails. I’ve given up, don’t waste your time!

Lately the show live audio stream buffers constantly. Happens on WiFi and happens on 5G. Constant start and stops ...even when listening to 24/7 off hours/weekends. Live video YouTube stream works fine, but when driving, I don't want to use that much data for something I can't watch. PLEASE look into it.

As a VIP member, this app is great when it works. Keeps crashing when I try to access video archive.

love the show, but this app really needs to be improved. For the longest time I was thinking my phone was the issue, but after reading some of the reviews on here I find out it’s not just me.I usually listen to the show when I take my dogs for a walk, and way too many timesIt crashes.It then takes way too long to long to start working, only to go back out again in five seconds.Very frustrating.

I can’t tell if this posted the first time I wrote it the first time. However, it’s been a year or two and nothing has changed. If no one cares enough you fix it, I’m don’t care enough to check if it’s a repost. This app is disappointing at best. I enjoy the show. However, the app needs work. A) Not able to get video with with sound without first clicking on an audio clip first. Then, once I’ve done that, the audio clip is always lurking around and will start playing over the top of the video for random reasons. B) I should be able to start the VIP video at any time and it just plays. However, if I open another app, the video stops or starts over at the beginning. Or... the audio starts up again (see “A”). If I don’t touch my phone again, it’s mostly fine, BUT THAT’S NOT HOW PHONES WORK! I give up. It should be better.

If the app and membership is free why do you need my credit card info? DEAL BUSTER! UNINSTALLED!

Please help me understand why complaints about this apps ability to remain connected continue to go on for years. 465 group needs to be replaced apparently because I love the show but it is so annoying that I’m going to have to start doing something else with my listening time. Can’t get more than three minutes in a row and I live in a giant city where there’s plenty of data space available.Don’t really think anyone is monitoring these reviews anyways.

I listened to the Bob & Tom Show since the very first week they were on the air. I cannot understand why this app is so poor- there are constant drops, two streams at almost the same time (but not quite) and half of the time time it won’t even start. I’d consider the VIP Membership but it’s likely built in the same fashion and I don’t want to pay for a app that doesn’t work either.

This is by far the worst app I have ever downloaded. It crashes all the time. It will make you reopen it multiple times, selling a commercial every time. This happens even the damned thing crashed itself immediately after the first commercial. I like listening to bob and Tom, but I won’t download their app again. Deleted it today after trying to give it a chance over the last 3 months.

Wish there was a way to listen to previous shows not just tiny clips. I don’t get to listen live.

but the app really drains the battery. I don’t know what y’all are doing, but it’s apparently a lot of activity even when the app is just idling in the background. 3/13/21 - Update with more details: App drained my fully-charged battery to 55% in just 1 hour. I had been listening to it with the screen locked. I noticed my phone was warm to the touch. I unlocked it and found an ad going nuts on the B&T screen, repeatedly refreshing the screen. Yeah, that takes some juice to do that. How about not trying to put up video ads on locked screens. (IOS 14.4, iPhone 8)

I enjoyed the show on you tube, joined the vip after they quit streaming their shows. App won’t let me watch the the shows videos. The log in and password they issued me doesn’t work. Been listening to the show since the 80’s and have enjoyed listening to the replays (on YouTube) every evening while I walk my dog and being able to skip the commercials. The app is a joke- it’s 2021- fix your page and don’t keep saying during the show how great it is to join- it is not worth it.

I’m not having the problems it seems everyone else is. The app doesn’t crash, it resumes if I hit mute/pause on my steering wheel. Really no problems...EXCEPT every time I click alarm it shuts the app completely down.

Use to play more best of. Now repeats the show what 5 times??? In a row??! I use app later on in day an really enjoyed the old bits. Now it’s reruns an more adds. It’s useless to me. I would pay for a version with no adds. An more best of. Sincerely dedicated truck driver listener.

It’s just not worth the hassle. I downloaded the app because I didn’t have a radio at work. The ads add an extra hour to every show. When you attempt to listen to the show you hear one ad, then it shuts off. Typically on the second or third attempt to listen you hear 1 or 2 more ads, then you finally hear the show. The show seems to pause or stop almost every half hour. When attempting to reestablish the audio, ads constantly flash in front of the play button and it is impossible to access the audio again. I have updated the app every time, but I have not noticed any improvements in the app’s performance. I recommend just purchasing a radio. I’m a loyal fan, but this app does not work and likely will not ever.

The advertisement the is displayed when first opening the application cycles on and off. If you do not catch it your phone’s battery will permanently discharge. It has gotten so bad the application is not very usable. Love the b&t show but may have to stop listening due to this issue.

3/4 of the time I try to listen, i have to continually restart because it shuts down after advertisements.

Crashes constantly

This APP crashes after only a minute or two and sometimes doesn’t return

When I first open the app an ad plays and then nothing. I have to close out the app then restart and then B&T will come on.

The drop down advertisement that covers the face of the app upon opening causes the app to crash. Please fix it, your show isn’t on in my area, and I need my morning Bob and Tom fix. 😊
